Year-round events keep the Charleston area buzzing. Music and tempting aromas fill the air. Witness world-renown performances at Spoleto, get a taste of our heritage at a small town oyster roast or discover the find of a lifetime at an antique show. With so many events taking place, you'd better mark your calendar now.
The College of Charleston's Public Relations Student Society of America chapter is hosting the first Charleston Rockstock music festival on Saturday from 7-11p.m. All proceeds will benefit the PRSSA chapter and MIMA Music, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire students of all ages in undeserved communities with a lifelong appreciation for music making.
The festival will feature three local bands including After August, Overstood and Valkyrie. Join the bands after the event at Charleston Beer Works, located at 468 King St., for the official Rockstock after party. Rockstock attendees over the age of 21 will receive free admission to Charleston Beer Works with an event ticket stub.
Tickets for the event will be $8 in advance, $10 at the door and can be purchased at the Stern Student Center on George Street or from any member of PRSSA. Food and alcohol will be sold separately. Alcohol will be available for purchase at the event, including $1 Beers. Slices of Pizza will also be available for $1 from D'Allesandro's Pizza.
