FEBRUARY 29 – MARCH 2 – Mount Pleasant Junior Tennis Challenger. Ages 10-18. Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex, Mount Pleasant. Fee: $30 singles and doubles/person. All juniors are invited to compete in a USTA and SCTA sanctioned tennis tournament. This challenger-level event consists of singles and doubles for ages 10-18. Awards will be given out to winners and finalists in each age group. Lunch will be served on Saturday with ice, fruit and drinks provided throughout the tournament.

MARCH 7 – Family Fun Night. 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. R.L. Jones Center, Mount Pleasant. FREE EVENT. Bring friends and family for a night of swimming fun and games. Families are invited to unwind in the pool after a hectic week of school and work. Floats and water toys welcome.

MARCH 8 – FUNdamental Micro Soccer Festival. 9 a.m. Park West Recreation Complex, Mount Pleasant. Kick off event with games and activities for all registered FUNdamental youth soccer players for the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department. Parents and spectators welcome. FREE EVENT.

MARCH 12 - Easter Egg Hunt. Ages 6 and under. 11 a.m. Alhambra Hall Park, Mount Pleasant. Free event. Come join us for an Easter Egg Hunt in the park. There will be a jump castle and lots more! Egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. Rain Date: March 19.

MARCH 14 – Little Illustrators Program. Ages 6-10. 4 – 5:30 p.m. G.M. Darby Building, Mount Pleasant. Children are invited to come listen to popular children’s stories and learn how to create an illustration using a variety of artistic mediums. Fee: $20/resident, $27/non-resident. MARCH 15 - 12th Annual Town of Mount Pleasant ArtFest with Towne Centre. 12 – 4 p.m. Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, Mount Pleasant. FREE ADMISSION. Families are invited to come enjoy local bands and performers, art shows and craft exhibits, and a fun kids’ zone with children’s games and craft stations.

MARCH 15 – Spring Eggstravaganza. 12 – 3 p.m. Park West Pool, Mount Pleasant. Fee: $5 per family. During this underwater egg hunt and spring festival, kids are invited to swim in the pool while gathering eggs. Participants are asked to bring their own basket/bucket to collect eggs. A limited number of lifejackets are available for children who can’t swim.

MARCH 15 – Hershey District Track Meet. 9 a.m. Wando High School Track, Mount Pleasant. Athletes age 9-14 compete in the local track meet for Hershey’s Track & Field Games. For information on how to enter to compete, call 884-2528.

MARCH 21-23 – Clement Morey Tennis Tournament. Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex, Mount Pleasant. Fee: $35 singles/person; $20 doubles/person. Open to men and women of all levels ranging from 2.5-5.0 and over. USTA membership required. T-shirts and awards will be given to winners and finalists.

MARCH 24 - 25 - Golf Spring Break Camp. 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Charleston National Golf Course. Ages 4 and up. The spring golf camp is designed to meet the needs of the beginner and intermediate golfer. Please bring lunch and your own clubs if you have them. Fee: $75/resident, $89/non-resident.

MARCH 24 – 27 - Spring Break Tennis Camp. Ages 7-16. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex. Campers will receive comprehensive stroke and strategy training. Drills will be complemented by games and match play daily. Fee: $125/resident, $139/non-resident.

MARCH 24 - 28 - Mount Pleasant Soccer Club Spring Break Camp. R.L. Jones Center. Half-day camp (for ages 5-14): 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., $125/resident, $139/non-resident. Full-day camp (for ages 8-14): 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., $250/resident, $264/non-resident. MPSC staff will cover all technical aspects of the game and focus on small-sided games. Campers must bring tennis shoes, water bottle, shin guards and cleats. Full day campers must bring a lunch.

MARCH 24 – 28 – Mad Science Spring Break Camp. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. For ages 3-5 at Park West Recreation Complex or for ages 5-12 at the G.M. Darby Building, Mount Pleasant. This science camp offers a unique combination of fun and hands-on activities, with extended science investigation. Group interaction and amazing demonstrations focusing on the theme of the day make science a part of children’s everyday lives. Fee: $108/resident, $122/non-resident. MARCH 24 – 28 – Painting the Colorful World Spring Break Camp. 2 – 4:30 p.m. For ages 6-12, G.M. Darby Building, Mount Pleasant. Children will open their eyes to the magical world of colors, creating a masterpiece while learning about the basic elements of art. Fee: $60/resident, $74/non-resident. MARCH 24 – 28 –Spring Break Dance Camp. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. For ages 3-5, G.M. Darby Building, Mount Pleasant. Children will learn basic dance techniques. MARCH 26 – Free Skateboarding Day. Mount Pleasant Skatepark (behind R.L. Jones Center), Mount Pleasant. Try out MPRD’s SkateLite Pro Ramps for free! Participants must bring their own skateboard and safety equipment (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads). All skatepark rules and regulations apply. Participants must have a current, signed waiver on file.

MARCH 29-30 – Piggly Wiggly Soccer Tournament. Patriots Point Soccer Complex and Park West Recreation Complex, Mount Pleasant. Tournament for registered recreation and classic youth soccer teams. MARCH 26 – Senior Prime Time Game Day. 10 a.m. Alhambra Hall, Mount Pleasant. FREE SENIOR EVENT. Come join us for a morning of FUN! Events include croquet, horseshoes, shuffleboard, table tennis, bocce, bingo and more! The Mount Pleasant Fire Department will be cooking lunch and providing blood pressure checks.
