Holiday Inn-Charleston Airport/Convention Center Wins The IHG 2007 Newcomer Award

The Holiday Inn-Charleston Airport/Convention Center has received the IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)] 2007 Newcomer Award as one of the best properties that joined the system within the last year as either a new development or conversion from another hotel chain. IHG is the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms.
The hotel was honored at a special ceremony held during the 2007 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, October 22-24, 2007. Daniel Blumenstock, General Manager and Scott Fennell, Owner accepted the award on behalf of the staff.
As one of 31 hotels selected for the award, the Holiday Inn-Charleston Airport/Convention Center had to meet the highest standards of quality and customer service.
“The Holiday Inn-Charleston Airport/Convention Center exceeded expectations and is one of the best new hotels in the IHG system,” said Steve Porter, president, the Americas, IHG.
More than 4,000 franchise owners, operators and company officials attended the 2007 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference.
